Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian handed awards to the students of the Yerevan State Ballet College

The spouse of the President of Armenia Nouneh Sarkissian visited today the Yerevan State Ballet College.

Two classrooms of the College were renovated through the funding provided by the Presidential Fund. Nouneh Sarkissian, accompanied by her daughter-in-law and granddaughter, toured the classrooms and observed a dance lesson in one of the halls.
Later, they watched dances performed by the students of the college. At the conclusion, Nouneh Sarkissian unexpectedly presented the Presidential award to the best ballerina and the best dancer – Nare Markossian and Raffi Galstian.

The award will provide them with the opportunity to visit the Bolshoy Theater in Moscow, watch performances, attend practice classes, get acquainted with the dancers and learn secrets of the dancing art.

“In the world of dancing, the Bolshoy Theater is a kind of dream. We wanted to make their dream come true,” Mrs. Sarkissian told the journalists at the conclusion of the event. She expressed confidence that students of the college would become little ambassadors of the Armenian dancing art in the world.
