The wife of the President of the Republic, Nouneh Sarkissian, visited Hamad Hospital in Qatar.

The executive director of the hospital Abdullah Al Ansari briefed Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian on the activities of the medical institution. He noted that Hamad Medical Corporation, HMC, operates 14 hospitals, which provide modern medical services of high quality, combining innovative research, higher education, and excellent clinical care.

Noting that Hamad Hospital also employs Armenians, the management of the Hospital, especially praised the contribution of Lord Ara Darzi, Director of the Institute for Global Health Innovation at Imperial College in London, to Qatar's healthcare system, in particular the development of the Hamad Hospital.

In a conversation with the hospital management, Mrs. Sarkissian particularly noted that Armenia and Qatar, being small countries, strive for success. "We want to be successful in the fields of medicine, technology, education, and science," said Nouneh Sarkissian. - We want to become one of the small but successful countries in the world, such as Qatar. We will be happy to exchange medical staff, students, as well as experience and knowledge, especially in healthcare management."

During the visit, the parties reached a preliminary agreement on visiting Armenia to clarify the directions of cooperation.
