Nouneh Sarkissian and the head of the National Museum of Qatar discussed the opportunities of cooperation with scientific and cultural institutions of Armenia

Within the framework of the working visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian to the State of Qatar, the President's wife Nouneh Sarkissian visited the National Museum of Qatar, accompanied by the Director of the History Museum of Armenia David Poghosyan and the Scientific Secretary of the Matenadaran Vahe Torosyan.

The mission of the National Museum of Qatar is to present the development history of Qatar and the traditions of its people. With innovative approaches and impressive solutions, eleven different halls display the history, culture, everyday life, and national traditions of the state of Qatar and its people.

The museum's collections contain about 8,000 exhibits, among them archaeological artifacts, textiles, costumes, jewellery, decorative art, and historical documents. Special halls display the nature and fauna of the country.

Accompanied by the CEO of Qatar Museums Ahmad Musa Al-Namla, Mrs. Sarkissian toured the museum, got acquainted with the items and exhibits presenting the history and development of Qatar.

After the tour, Mrs. Sarkissian thanked the management of the museum for their hospitality, beautiful and interesting exposition, and made a note about her impressions in the book of honorary guests of the museum. With the head of the museum, she discussed the opportunities of cooperation with the scientific and cultural institutions of Armenia, and highlighted the importance of organizing mutual exhibitions.
