You have done a great job, you passed the Armenian language to the kids: spouse of the President Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian in Qatar met with the pupils of the Mesropian school

In the framework of the official visit of President Armen Sarkissian to the State of Qatar, the spouse of the President Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian at the Embassy of Armenia in Qatar met with the pupils of the Mesropian school and their parents.

The pupils welcomed the guest with Armenian performances, while Mrs. Sarkissian presented to the kids some of her fairytale books. “These kids are our greatest treasure. I would like to express special thanks to their parents and teachers for passing the Armenian language on to these children,” Nouneh Sarkissian said addressing those present. “I know how difficult it is to live far away from the Fatherland and preserve the language. You have done a great job. These kids know that they are Armenians and should learn to speak Armenian and go to our Church and preserve our faith because these are the most important values of our nation. Without our language, our Church, our national traditions would not exist. We preserve them constantly and pass on to the generations, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to stay Armenians.”

Addressing the parents and teachers, Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian noted that every child has a talent and urged them to reveal and develop it, “Dear teachers, dear parents, reveal that talent in our children, cherish it lest it is lost. Bring up talented Armenians, thanks to the Armenian individuals, our nation is famous all over the world.”

Later, Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian read to kids one of her own fairytales.
