President Vahagn Khachaturyan’s message on the 2806th Anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan

Dear compatriots,

Congratulations to all of us on the 2806th anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan.
Yerevan is the hallmark and symbol of our country with its thousand-year history and today's awakening, and it is no coincidence that states and their capitals are often identified both in the perception of foreigners and in the perception of Armenians in all corners of the world.

Our city is approaching the third millennium of its foundation, but it also requires care, love and responsibility, because feelings expressed in words are not enough for both the state and the country, as well as for Yerevan.

Yerevan starts from our house, yard and street, and the aspiration of all of us to have a healthy, comfortable, pleasant and modern city should start from there.

Yerevan is us, our citizens, because buildings, parks or streets alone are not enough to be called a city. Yerevan is an expression of our collective image and face, and the millennial anniversary of Yerevan is another reason to fully rejoice, to be proud and at the same time ponder over having a more beautiful, happier and prosperous city day by day, year by year.
