President Vahagn Khachaturyan’s address on Labor Day

Dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia,

Congratulations to all of us on Labor Day.

Over the past more than three decades, our statehood has faced many trials and challenges: wars, economic crises and pivotal changes in socio-political life.

This confrontation, although with strenuous efforts, shows that all problems can be solved with the help of united and selfless work and responsibility.

Decent work, the right to work is an inalienable right of a citizen and the basic guarantee of the welfare and development of the state.

States and societies succeed if they manage to create an environment and atmosphere in which a citizen's right to work is protected as much as possible, and the opportunity to work and create with dignity is guaranteed.

Dear compatriots,

Our independent statehood is also the result of a kind of work, and the main guarantee of the well-being and development of our state is the creative, tireless and united work of all of us -officials, military personnel, workers and scientists, teachers and craftsmen, as a result of which a developed, democratic and prosperous Republic of Armenia is being created.
