President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Qatar’s Charge d’Affaires, Mohd Yusuf Al Muzaffar, on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day.

“We attach great importance to revitalizing high-level dialogue with our friend Qatar and advancing a mutually beneficial political and economic agenda. I am confident that the necessary prerequisites exist to elevate bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level,” the President stated.

The Qatari Charge d’Affaires expressed gratitude for the reception and congratulations. He conveyed the greetings of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Qatari government to President Khachaturyan.

“We anticipate the deepening and expansion of ties, the development and advancement of bilateral relations in the near future, and consistent efforts to implement the existing agreements and commitments. In this regard, we will exert every effort within our capacity,” he stated.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities to further expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Views were exchanged on realizing the full potential of collaboration in fields such as the economy, high technologies, culture, tourism, and other sectors. Both sides emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits and fostering cooperation at various levels to strengthen the existing ties between the two countries.

Over the course of the conversation a reference was made to the regional realities and developments. In this context, both sides underscored the necessity of establishing agendas for stable peace and development, a goal reflected in Armenia’s proposed “Crossroads of Peace” project.
