President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of Romania to Armenia, Cornel Ionescu

President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Armenia, Cornel Ionescu, on the occasion of Romania’s National Day—Union Day.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the President congratulated him, as well as the leadership and people of Romania, and wished them success and prosperity.

Expressing gratitude for the welcome and the well-wishes, Ambassador Cornel Ionescu noted his dedication to fostering cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, discussions were held on steps to enhance collaboration between Armenia and Romania. Opportunities for implementing joint programs in fields such as the economy, education and science, high technologies, and other areas of mutual interest were explored.

The sides also exchanged views on the general regional and international situation and developments. Both sides emphasized the importance of resolving existing issues and challenges through peaceful negotiations and upholding the principles of democratic development.
