President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Mary Papazian, Vice Chair of the Armenian Society of Fellows Board (ASOF), former Rector of San Jose State University in USA.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the process of reforms carried out in the educational and scientific system, obtaining education in accordance with the requirements of the modern world and the introduction of innovative technologies into the educational process. They both stressed the need for a high-quality and competitive secondary and higher education system.

The interlocutors touched upon the problem of programs for the formation of future leaders in society, as well as the use of knowledge and experience available in the Diaspora in the field of agriculture, effective management of water resources and in a number of other spheres.

The sides touched upon the prospects of the Armenia-USA strategic partnership at the meeting.
