President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Doreen Bogdan-Martin, the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union

Within the framework of the Davos Economic Forum, President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Doreen Bogdan-Martin.

During the meeting, the effective cooperation formed within the framework of ITU and the programs being implemented in Armenia were touched upon.

The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of expanding the relevant technical assistance provided to Armenia by the Organization in the field of telecommunications and high technologies.

In his speech, the President of the Republic stressed that the high-tech sector is one of the priorities for Armenia's further development and receives special attention from the country's leadership.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the possible impact of artificial intelligence on the economy, public life and global realities in general and consequences.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to continue steps aimed at strengthening cooperation in the near future.
