Newly-appointed Ambassador of Colombia presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia

Ambassador of Colombia to Armenia Hector Isidro Arenas Neira (residence: Moscow) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the office and wished him prolific work during his diplomatic service.

"Next year we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, which is a good opportunity to further activate our relations and seek new opportunities for cooperation. Your appointment is also essential in this regard," the President noted.

The newly-appointed Ambassador expressed gratitude for the reception and underscored that he will spare no efforts to promote the cooperation and closer relations between Armenia and Colombia.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the formation of cooperation agendas between the two countries.

The sides also touched upon the possibilities of visa liberalization and networking between business circles. In this context, both sides emphasized the importance of fostering high-level political meetings and mutual visits, as well as parliamentary diplomacy.
