President Vahagn Khachaturyan had a farewell meeting with Polish Ambassador Pawel Cieplak
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland Pawel Cieplak on the occasion of completing his diplomatic service.
In his welcoming remarks, the President highly valued the Ambassador's role in fostering close Armenian-Polish relations and enhancing cooperation.
“Your work and contribution to the development of relations between our countries is outstanding and significant. All of us appreciate what you have done. After independence, Poland has been a role model for us and many other countries in how it managed to overcome all the challenges and become an independent, self-sustaining country and secure its unique place in the big EU family," President Khachaturyan noted.
Thanking the President for the reception, Pawel Cieplak noted, "Mr. President, it is a great honor for me to meet you today. The five years I have worked in Armenia have been much more interesting and dramatic than I could have anticipated in the fall of 2017 as I was preparing to come here. Here I had the opportunity to meet and work with unique people."
During the meeting, the existing opportunities for the Armenian-Polish cooperation and issues regarding the full exercise of the development potential were discussed.
In the course of the discussion, the promotion of cooperation within the Armenian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission was addressed. Close cooperation between Armenia and Poland on various bilateral and international platforms as well as within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program was highlighted by both parties.
