President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Head of the International Monetary Fund mission in Armenia
Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the newly appointed head of the IMF mission in Armenia Iva Petrova. The Resident Representative for Armenia Mehdi Raissi also participated in the meeting.
The President congratulated Iva Petrova on assuming this important post and wished her fruitful activity. Vahagn Khachaturyan referred to the 30th anniversary of IMF-Armenia cooperation and stressed the importance of the research conducted by the IMF for the Armenian economy.
The head of the International Monetary Fund mission in Armenia expressed her gratitude for the reception and her readiness to cooperate closely. Iva Petrova expressed her satisfaction with the impressive economic indicators registered in Armenia in the current year.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon a wide range of issues of bilateral interest. Reference was made to the latest macroeconomic developments, tax and monetary policies and issues related to investments in other fields.
At the end of the meeting, Vahagn Khachaturyan and Iva Petrova agreed to make working meetings regular.
