President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation led by the Venice Commission President Claire Bazy Malaurie

Today, President Vahagn Khachturyan received the delegation led by the President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) Claire Bazy Malaurie, who was in Armenia at the invitation of the RA Constitutional Court.

Welcoming the delegation’s visit, President Vahagn Khachaturyan noted, that the European Council is of special significance to Armenia, as since the day of its independence, Armenia closely cooperates with the EC, one of Armenia’s key partners.

The President mentioned with great pleasure that the European Council and the Venice Committee constantly support Armenia’s agenda for reform implementation and strengthening of democracy, aimed at protecting human rights, combatting corruption and ensuring the independence and efficient work of the judicial system.

Claire Bazy Malaurie in her turn noted, that Armenia is the European Council’s stable and trustworthy partner.
