President Armen Sarkissian met with the UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Mariam Almheiri

Today, President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, who is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, met with Mariam Almheiri, the UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment.

Minister Almheiri thanked President Sarkissian for his participation in the conferences on sustainable development and climate change, held within the framework of Abu Dabi Sustainability Week. Noting that the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) will be held in the UAE in 2023, she presented several steps her country envisaged to address the need and combat climate change.

President Sarkissian and the Minister discussed issues of expanding the Armenian-Emirati cooperation in several spheres to ensure sustainable development and implement mutually beneficial joint projects.
