The lessons of wisdom learned from you are not only about science but also about patriotism, and being a citizen and man. President Sarkissian congratulated Professor Gurgen Melikyan

President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to Gurgen Melikyan, Honoured Pedagogue of the Republic of Armenia, Professor at the Yerevan State University, on his 85th birthday.

The message particularly says:

“Your rich biography is indivisible integrity of interconnected stages. For decades, you have decently carried on your shoulders your part of the most challenging mission of educating Armenian youth, upbringing them in the Armenian spirit, and preserving Armenian identity.

Your contribution to developing Oriental studies, upbringing of generations in our country, and in particular, training diplomatic personnel is immense.

Artsakh is an inseparable part of your life. Numerous patriotic and charitable events have been held in Artsakh for more than twenty years within the framework of Gurgen Melikyan Kashatagh Foundation for Large Families.
