President Armen Sarkissian sent a letter to the King of Bahrain on the military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan

President Armen Sarkissian sent a special letter to the King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa on the military actions unleased by Azerbaijan at the border with Armenia and along the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh.

The President of Armenia described military actions of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh and noted that these actions have resulted in dozens of killed and wounded servicemen and civilians on both sides.

“Regrettably, Azerbaijan’s intermittent war against the people of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia is nothing new: for over three decades, Azerbaijan has been exerting to solve the NK issue through military means and wipe out the Armenian population from its Homeland,” the letter of President Sarkissian reads.

The President of Armenia expressed particular concern with the bellicose rhetoric of the Turkish leadership which uses the conflict to further its own ends.

Armen Sarkissian appealed to the King of Bahrain to use his authority and connections at the international arena to stop the bloodshed and human suffering at once.

“The conflict can and will be solved only through negotiations. It has no military solution. We proved it before, we will prove it again,” concludes the letter.
