President Armen Sarkissian met with the Acting Director of the National Gallery Marina Hakopian

President Armen Sarkissian met today with the Acting Director of the National Assembly Marina Hakopian.

President Sarkissian inquired about the works of the Gallery under the coronavirus pandemic and stressed the importance of maintaining a constant link with art lovers. At the meeting, discussed were also the upcoming programs of the National Gallery.

The Acting Director of the National Assembly spoke about forthcoming plans, highlighting in particular the strategy for modernization of the Gallery and related issues.

President Sarkissian stressed the importance of presenting the rich Armenian culture in a more comprehensive and contemporary way and noted that he is ready within the scope of his abilities to assist in this endeavor. Discussed were also opportunities for cooperation between the Presidential Administration and National Gallery such as holding joint cultural events on the territory of the Presidential Palace.
