President Sarkissian hosted Lord Darzi

President Armen Sarkissian received today a member of the British Parliament, Director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London, Professor Ara Darzi.

President Sarkissian and Lord Darzi conversed about development processes in Armenia, issues related to technology, education, and advancement of healthcare, referred to modern technologies and innovative solutions in that areas, particularly to the use of elements of artificial intelligence.

President Sarkissian highlighted potential existing in Armenia and importance of using it more efficiently in Spyurk - especially the professional experience and skills - for the benefit of the Fatherland and the people.

Ara Darzi is also the Paul Hamlyn Chair of Surgery at Imperial College London, the Executive Chair of the World Innovation Summit for Health in Qatar, and an honorary consultant surgeon at Imperial College Hospital and Royal Marsden Hospital. Lord Darzi has authored multiple inventions in the surgical area, including the application of laparoscopy and is a pioneer of new technologies.
