President Armen Sarkissian received the delegation of Homenetmen

President Armen Sarkissian received today the delegation of the Armenian General Athletic Union (Homenetmen) headed by the Chairman of the Central Board Garnik Mkrtchyan.

Representatives of the Homenetmen presented programs implemented by the structure and outlined forthcoming activities. Chairman of the Central Board Garnik Mkrtchyan said that their organization is ready to continue to support Armenia through its programs.
President Armen Sarkissian underscored that the Homenetmen has been carrying out the important mission of uniting, bringing together, and educating the Armenian Spyurk.
In this context, President viewed as necessary for the Homenetmen to continue with a greater vigor its important mission on the preservation of the national identity and strengthening of the ties with Fatherland.

The President expressed his readiness to assist and said that there is a lot to be done in Spyurk. There is also a need for new approaches in line with the demands and problems of the new times and new generations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, members of the Homenetmen delegation presented to Armen Sarkisian a stamp dedicated to the centennial of the organization.
