President received the writer and publicist Zori Balayan and delegation of the Russian intellectuals who arrived to Armenian on the occasion of the writer’s jubilee

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the writer, publicist, Distinguished Art Worker of Armenia Zori Balayan and an impressive delegation of intellectuals from the Russian Federation who have arrived to Armenia on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of this prominent personality. The delegation comprises writers, dramatists, movie directors, journalists, publicists, representatives of the Russian art and literature. It is also through their support that the renowned Khudozhestvennay Literatura publishing house printed the eight-volume edition of Zori Balayan’s writings.

The President of Armenia welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to the friends of Armenia present at the meeting, who, according to the President, for years with their activities have been promoting the centuries-long Armenian-Russian friendship, as well as a closer cooperation of the two countries in the humanitarian and other areas.

Serzh Sargsyan once again congratulated Zori Balayan on the occasion of his birth anniversary and on publication of his voluminous collection, and wished him good health, boundless energy and new creative achievements.
