President receives United Kingdom’s ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach
President Serzh Sargsyan received today Katherine Leach, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Armenia, at the completion of her diplomatic service in our country.
The president thanked the ambassador for her efforts aimed at strengthening Armenian-British relations and for the effective cooperation, which has contributed to the intensification of political dialogue between the two countries, the development of inter-parliamentary ties, and to the positive shift in trade and economic relations. Serzh Sargsyan also spoke highly of Ambassador Leach’s cooperation with civil society in Armenia. Armenia’s president wished Katherine Leach success in her further activities, expressing the hope that she will continue to be friends with Armenia.
The United Kingdom’s ambassador thanked President Serzh Sargsyan for the kind words and for the recognition of her work.
Katherine Leach assured the president that during her tenure she tried her best to reinforce bilateral ties and will make the most of her working experience gained in Armenia to help ensure prosperity for Armenia and promote peace and stability.
