President Serzh Sargsyan visited the presidential candidate, Chairman of AIM political party Paruyr Harikia

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan visited the presidential candidate, Chairman of AIM political party Paruyr Harikian who was carried to the Saint Grigor Illuminator Medical Center and underwent surgery after the attempted assassination.

The President of Armenia inquired about Paruyr Hairikian’s health conditions, expressed him his support, and wished a speedy recovery.

With regard to his condition, the RA presidential candidate said that he was feeling better after the surgery and was quickly recovering. Paruyr Hairikian related to the President of Armenia the details of the incident as much as he was able to recall.

After his visit, at the Saint Grigor Illuminator Medical Center Serzh Sargsyan spoke also to the journalists about the incident. “This horrendous crime is directed not only against the presidential candidate and political figure Paruyr Hairikian but also against our statehood. Apparently those who stand behind that crime had a purpose to make an impact on the normal process of the elections. I want everybody to know that our law enforcement bodies will do everything to find the perpetrators. I am confident that Puruyr Hairikian will recover shortly. Please ask everyone to prey for Paruyr’s recovery,” President Serzh Sargsyan said.
