President received delegation of the PACE pre-electoral observation mission

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the delegation of the PACE pre-electoral mission.

The President noted that Armenia attaches utmost importance to its membership to the Council of Europe and fulfillment of the associated obligations.

At the meeting, the parties spoke about the parliamentary and local-governance body elections in Armenia. The members of the delegation noted that they constituted a serious step forward. According to the President, it was made possible also through the monitoring conducted by the Council of Europe for which Serzh Sargsyan expressed his thanks to the Organization and underscored that he was anticipating further deepening of the cooperation. Serzh Sargsyan said that every effort is being made to make the presidential elections the best of all elections held in the history of the independent Armenia.
