President Sargsyan will conduct an official visit to Lebanon

On November 26-28, President Serzh Sargsyan will conduct an official visit to the Republic of Lebanon.

Serzh Sargsyan will hold a series of meetings with the highest leadership of the country – President Michel Suleiman and President of the National Assembly Nabih Berri. He will also attend an extended session with the participation of the members of the Lebanese Parliament and meet with Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
The President of Armenia will meet also with the representatives of the Armenian community of Lebanon. In the framework of the visit, the President will visit Antelias and meet with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia. Serzh Sargsyan will visit the Haykazyan University where he is to meet with the faculty of the four leading universities of Lebanon and students of international relations. The extensive program of the Presidential visit includes also meetings with the President Armenian Evangelistic Churches in the Middle East, Rev Mkrtich Karagyozian. He will also visit Zmmar and will meet with Armenian Catholic Patriarch, His Eminence Ter Nerses Petros XIX. Serzh Sargsyan will participate in the official opening ceremony of the cultural center and renovated section of matenadaran dedicated to the 500th anniversary of publishing the Urbatagirq – the first Armenian printed book. Later, he will visit the exhibition of manuscripts and ancient books.

In the framework of the visit, signed will be a number of documents aimed at the strengthening of cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon in different areas.
