President received the Chairman of the Germany-South Caucasus parliamentary group of the German Bundestag

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Chairman of the Germany-South Caucasus parliamentary group of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Börnsen.

The President of Armenia welcomed visit of the delegation headed by Wolfgang Börnsen to our country and stressed the importance of the visit in the parliamentary format as a means to heighten the level of mutual familiarization between friendly countries and peoples and as a step aimed at the strengthening of friendship. According to the President, such visits raise also the level of objective knowledge about the South Caucasus on the international arena.

The parties underscored that the Armenian-German political dialogue and versatile cooperation create excellent opportunities for the continuous deepening of bilateral ties. The Chairman of the Germany-South Caucasus parliamentary group of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Börnsen noted that together with his colleague he too will make efforts to promote cooperation between Armenia and Germany in different areas and to enhance Armenia’s development.

The interlocutors exchanged also views on regional problems and challenges.
