Serzh Sargsyan observed joint military exercises Interaction-2012 of CSTO rapid response collective force

Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Commander-in-Chief of the RA Armed Forces Serzh Sargsyan observed joint military exercises Interaction-2012 of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) rapid response collective force at the Marshal Baghramian firing ground of the RA Ministry of Defense.

Before the exercises began, the President of Armenia was shown the involved military equipment, familiarized with the tasks set for the participants of the exercises and observed the mock-up of the area of the exercises.

For the preparation and due conduct on the territory of Armenia of the joint Interaction-2012 military exercises in the framework of the CSTO, at the conclusion of the exercises President Serzh Sargsyan awarded with the RA Presidential Letters of Commendation:

General Major Vladimir Ustinov, Head of the joint operative and combat readiness unit of the united staff of the CSTO,

Commanders of a number of the RA Ministry of Defense units, draftees and contract servicemen – Colonel Hayk Karapetian, General Major Kamo Quchunts, draftee Junior Sergeant Norik Petrossian, contract serviceman Senior Sergeant Gor Hakobjanian,

Captain Peter Popov, Commander of the 2nd paratrooper battalion of the 217th air regiment of the 98th paratrooper division of the Russian Federation,

Private Andrei Belodedin, assistant to the grenade launcher operator of the 3rd airmobile regiment of the 357th Special Airmobile Guardia of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus,

Colonel Abdullah Tugaev, head of division at the department of missile troops and operative readiness of the artillery commander of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan,

Colonel Gulom Piroev, deputy head of the department of combat readiness at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan,
Major of Police Zhirgalbek Zhumaliev, head of the special rapid response unit at the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan,

Lieutenant-Colonel Alexei Inyakin, senior officer of the 249th center for special rescue operations at the department for protection against radiation, chemical and biological threats at the RF Ministry of Emergency Situations,
