President Serzh Sargsyan attended the extraordinary session of the Government

Today, at the extraordinary session of the Government, before taking up agenda items, President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the members of the Government on their appointment and noted that majority of the Ministers from the previous Government will continue to work in the new one as well. Also, appointed were new Ministers who have essential administrative and organizational working skills.

In the framework of the agenda items, Prime Minister Tigran Sarkissian presented the program of the RA Government which was approved. Through the due process, it will be presented to the RA National Assembly.

At the session adopted was also the decision regarding the RA Government’s initiative to convene an extraordinary session of the RA National Assembly. According to the decision, the Government proposed the Speaker of the Parliament to convene an extraordinary session of the National Assembly right after the conclusion of the first session of the NA.

At the conclusion of the session of the Government, President Sargsyan called upon the members of the newly formed government to get ready for a hard but also honorary mission and wished them success.
