President Serzh Sargsyan received delegation of the European Parliament
President Serzh Sargsyan received today delegation of the European Parliament headed by the Co-Chair of the RA-EU commission on parliamentary cooperation Milan Carbnokh.
The President stressed the importance of the visit of such an impressive EP delegation to our country and expressed hope that it will provide a good opportunity to learn first-hand problems existing in Armenia and in the region, as well as challenges and developments, contributing thus to the strengthening of Armenia-EU relations.
According to the President of Armenia, meetings of the delegation with the political forces of Armenia, representatives of civil society and state structures will be very useful.
“Our wishes and aspirations are unambiguous – we want to have as soon as possible a much more prosperous, democratic and secure Armenia, a peaceful and stable region. All our efforts are aimed toward that end,” President Sargsyan said.
At the meeting, discussed were issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation, strengthening of interparliamentary relations, as well as issues pertinent to the domestic policies, foreign policy and regional problems.
