President Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Radoslav Sikorski

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Radoslav Sikorski.

President Sargsyan asked Minister Sikorski to convey his congratulations to the newly elected President Komorovski on his success in the presidential elections and expressed hope that the challenges, which Poland had to face lately, were overcome and that life in the country was back to normal.

According to the President of Armenia, there is great potential for deepening relations and expanding cooperation between Armenia and Poland. The two sides agreed that it is necessary to maintain the dynamics of high level visits. They also expressed hope that the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which commenced its works yesterday in Yerevan, would facilitate the full utilization of that potential. In this context the parties highlighted the importance of recently launched Warsaw-Yerevan regular flights.

At the meeting discussed were also issues pertinent to the NK conflict settlement, Armenian-Turkish process of normalization and regional issues. President Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the Polish side for their unbiased stance regarding the NK peace process. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland underscored that his country upholds all principles of international law and espouses peaceful resolution of the conflicts.
