President Serzh Sargsyan received the President of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the President of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
The agreement on cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Academy of Sciences of Belarus was signed on May 17.
Welcoming the guest, President Sargsyan said that the Armenian-Belarus scientific ties have long history. “We all remember efficient cooperation of our two Academies during Soviet times. Unfortunately, after the collapse of the USSR those relations were severed, but I hope that right now we are opening a new page in our cooperation,” the President of Armenia stressed.
Mikhail Myasnikovich noted that the people of Belarus have very warm feelings toward Armenia and the Armenian people. “Our people have many similar features – we use our own intellect, abilities and hard work to get results,” the President of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus underlined.
The two sides exchanged views on the prospects of science development in Armenia and Belarus. The Presidents of the Armenian and Belarusian Academies noted that the signed agreement creates new opportunities of cooperation for the scientific circles of the two countries.
