President Serzh Sargsyan received Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation Yuri Hovannisian
Today, the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the Scientific Director of the Fliorov Nuclear Reactors Laboratory at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation Yuri Hovannisian.
Welcoming our renowned compatriot, President Sargsyan said, “We are proud of you and of all the sons and daughters of our nation living abroad who reached prominence. We believe that you are also very valuable for our Republic.” The President of Armenia congratulated the scientist on his latest achievements and noted that here, in Armenia we have been following with delight when he was presenting his achievement to the world.
President Sargsyan and the celebrated scientist discussed issues related to a depended cooperation between Armenia and the JINR, spoke about the programs implemented jointly with the Yerevan Institute of Physics. Academician Hovannisian said that their cooperation entered a new stage which envisages the creation in the YIP of the National scientific laboratory.
