The ceremony of swearing in the new judge took place
By the July 21 degree of President Serzh Sargsyan, Mkhitar Papoyan was appointed judge at the Court of First Instance of the Qanaqer-Zeytun community in Yerevan.
The ceremony of swearing in the new judge took place today at the sitting of the Justice Council, in the presence of the President of Armenia.
Assuming the high position, Mkhitar Papoyan gave oath “to execute the responsibilities of the judge in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia, to be unbiased and fair, to solemnly observe all the duties required from the judge, upholding the rule of law and high esteem of the judicial authority.”
President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the newly appointed judge and wished his success. He also expressed hope that in his activities the judge would be guided by his oath.
At the sitting of the Justice Council, the Chairman of the Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtoumian introduced also Mesrop Makian, who was elected member of the Council at the July 17 Convention of the Judges of the Republic of Armenia.
