President Serzh Sargsyan held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of Germany to Armenia
President Serzh Sargsyan held today a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia Mrs. Andrea Wiktorin.
The President of Armenia thanked the Ambassador for her vigorous activities aimed at the development of the Armenian-German cooperation and noted that lately the bilateral political dialogue has become more energetic and not only the economic and financial programs have expanded but also cultural and educational ones.
President Sargsyan noted with satisfaction that Germany has become Armenia’s second largest trade partner and one of the largest investors.
Ambassador Wiktorin also underscored the successful cooperation of the two countries. She stressed the importance of the intergovernmental commission’s meeting to be held this month and expressed confidence that it would lay foundation for new initiatives.
The parties expressed also satisfaction with the Armenian-German cooperation in defense and security areas.
