President Serzh Sargsyan received the Ambassador of India to Armenia
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Mrs. Rina Pandei who is concluding her mission in our country.
The President of Armenia hailed Ambassador Pandei’s personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. Serzh Sargsyan noted with satisfaction high level of political dialogue between Armenia and India and growing trade turnover which has doubled during this year. The President of Armenia also expressed gratitude to the Indian Government for considerate attitude toward the Armenian community of India.
Ambassador Pandei said that she looks with satisfaction on the three and a half years’ work in Armenia because results of this work already show. With this regard she stressed the importance of the project to open a center for information and technology in Armenia. Madam Ambassador also said that the government of India has also responded to the program of rural development in Armenia and was implementing a serious project in one of the rural communities in Lori which is coherent with President Sargsyan’s strategy for rural development.
The two sides noted also efficient cooperation of Armenia and India in international structures. Rita Pandei said that her government highly values Armenia’s position on the issues of importance for India. In his turn, the President of Armenia welcomed India’s balanced approach towards our regional issues.
President Sargsyan wished Ambassador Pandei all the best in her future endeavors and expressed confidence that she would maintain her friendly relations with Armenia and would remain our country’s good friend.
