President Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the newly-elected President of the USA Barack Obama
Today President Serge Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the newly-elected President of the USA Senator Barack Obama.
The message states:
Honorable Mr. Obama,
I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of your election as the 44th President of the United States of America.
I am confident that the relations between Armenia and the US will attain a new quality during your term of office and the economic and political cooperation between our countries will enhance for the sake of our friendly peoples.
The prominent organizations of the Armenian Community in America have repeatedly conveyed to me their enthusiasm about the changes you have promised the American people. They and I highly appreciate your awareness and stands on Armenian issues. I believe that the American - Armenians will become a strong link bridging our countries.
The Armenian people are grateful to the United States for the comprehensive assistance it has provided since our independence and up to this day. We are committed to continue working together to transform that support into empowered democracy and stronger economy for Armenia.
The United States as a co-chair of the Minsk Group plays an important role in the process for a peaceful resolution of Karabakh problem.
I once again congratulate you on the occasion of your election as the President of the United States, and wish you good health and all the success in serving the United States of America for the prosperity of its people.
