President Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation of “Ernst and Young”
Today President Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation of “Ernst and Young” - one of the world’s leading professional companies providing auditing services, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of the company, James Turley.
The company has been working in the Armenian market for over ten year now and intends to expand its activities and open its office in Yerevan.
The President of Armenia welcomed the initiative of “Ernst and Young” to expand its activities in Armenia considering the company’s high repute and role, as well as the decades long experience in auditing, tax, legal and consultative services.
Serzh Sargsyan said that these areas were not sufficiently developed in Armenia yet. In recent years, the Government of Armenia has undertaken steps toward the significant improvement of the areas of accounting and audit and with this regard it needs assistance.
Noting, that currently there are also other internationally commended firms providing auditing services in Armenia, the President of Armenia expressed confidence that vigorous activities would foster the development of these areas, particularly, for the establishment of competitive environment, sharing international experience and for the improvement of the quality of the services provided by the local companies.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of “Ernst and Young, James Turley explained the decision to expand activities in Armenia by the growth of the Armenian economy and market and deepening international integration. He also noted that the company was ready to provide assistance to the growing business community of Armenia in the framework of a wide range of services supplied by the company.
