Presidential Awards to the best students and pupils
On September 30, the 29 best students and pupils in the area of information technologies were given Presidential awards.
President Sargsyan met with the winners. “This competition, which is called to reveal young and gifted specialists who excelled in the area of information technology, is an important event. I congratulate all winners and want to say that the important thing is that you have been able to win among your peers, and that you have been able to prove yourselves,” the President of Armenia said.
President Sargsyan noted that the worth of the awards is nominal, it is a starting capital. “This is not a capital in the money sense but rather intellectual, and I am very glad that it is. If we say that our main capital is young and well educated people, we mean just you and those like you. I would be very happy if an educated man is a role model for the today’s Armenian pupil or student. I am sure that gradually this mentality will reign in our society and we have no other way of being a competitive state, a competitive nation if we fail to bring up knowledge loving and knowledge possessing youth,” the President of Armenia said.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the leadership of “Synopsis” company for supporting this initiative and assisting young people. He also expressed hope that that cooperation would deepen.
