On September 5 President Sargsyan is leaving for Moscow
On September 5 President Sargsyan is leaving for Moscow to participate at the regular session of the Heads of states of the countries - members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. During the meeting Armenia will assume the chairmanship of the Organization.
The delegation headed by the President of Armenia comprises Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdassarian, Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Defense Seiran Ohanian, Ambassador of Armenia to the Russian Federation Armen Smbatian, and other officials.
At the meeting conducted in a restricted format, the Heads of states will discuss developments of the current military and political situation, as well as the steps necessary to neutralize challenges and threats facing collective security. They will also talk about the implementation of the decisions adopted at the previous meeting of the CSTO.
At the plenary meeting discussed will be issues pertaining to the priorities of the Organization. The Heads of states will also sign a number of documents which will broaden the legal base for the cooperation of the member states in the political and military areas.
Late at night the delegation headed by the President of Armenia will return to Yerevan.
