Chairpersons of the examination commissions, which will conduct the 2008 admission exams to the higher education institutions of Armenia, were invited today to the meeting with President Serzh Sargsyan.

First the President of Armenia inquired if the Chairs of the commissions had any problems in conducting exams in a well-organized, fair manner, and on the high level and whether they needed any assistance.

Serzh Sargsyan stressed the necessity of conducting the admission exams publicly and transparently. “The whole examination process should be in accordance with the adopted policies,” the President of Armenia underlined and warned that any other approach would be strictly punished.

The President of Armenia spoke also about the imminent serious changes in the educational system of Armenia and noted that resources allocated to education grow year by year and that attention toward that area would grow as well.

The Chairpersons stated that they fully understand their responsibilities and assured that they would do their best to conduct the exams on the proper level.

President Sargsyan wished them success in their important job.
