Visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to the Holy See of Ejmiadzin
On July 11 President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited the Holy See of Ejmiadzin and had a meeting with His Holiness, Catholicos of All Armenians and Supreme Patriarch Garegin II.
During the meeting the President of Armenia and the Supreme Patriarch discussed the state-church relations.
In the framework of his visit President of Armenia observed also the construction and renovation works conducted at the Holy See of Ejmiadzin. Serzh Sargsyan and Garegin II attended the Cathedral and lit candles. They visited also the newly constructed Saint Vartan Church and Saint Hovhanness the Baptist Chapel, which will be consecrated and will open their doors for the worshipers on the eve of the ceremonial Chrism blessing.
The President of Armenia and His Holiness visited also the new cloister, observed conditions inside and development works on its territory.
