Working visit of the President Vahagn Khachaturyan to Tavush marz

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan arrived in Tavush marz this morning on a working visit. As part of the visit, the President visited the Art School of Koghb village founded 25 years ago through the efforts of Karapet Ghulijanyan. Karapet Ghulijanyan pursued the goal of awakening and revitalizing the cultural life in Koghb and adjacent villages that are far from the capital, creating an appropriate environment, uniting gifted children and youth of the Noyemberyan region.

The founder of the Center introduced the President to the studio conditions in the school, the works carried out, the development programs, as well as the various activities in progress.

The President also toured the area of the Tumo Creative Technologies Center which is still under construction being built next to the Art School of Koghb village, where the Head of the Centers Operations, Tereza Karimyan, presented the forthcoming programs and works.

As part of his working visit to Tavush Marz, the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited one of the military units of the Armed Forces on combat duty. The President greeted the servicemen and gave encouraging gifts to a group of officers and servicemen who were most outstanding in the service.

"You are fulfilling a very important task. You are the people who keep our borders strong enabling the citizens of the Republic of Armenia to live, create and develop freely.

I am confident that you perform your service with this understanding. I am confident that it is with this understanding that the commanders of the military unit guide and educate you as real soldiers who have proved their fighting power. I am confident that you are fulfilling the critical task that is set for you. That critical task is the protection of the security of the Republic of Armenia. That critical task is the protection of integrity of the borders of the Republic of Armenia.

Once again, I extend my regards to you and wish you success and peaceful service."

Afterwards, the President laid flowers at the monument dedicated to the memory of the victims of the 44-day war in the territory of the military unit and paid tribute to the memory of the Armenians who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.

President Khachaturyan also familiarized himself with the living conditions of servicemen on combat duty and had brief talks with them.

"You are doing a very responsible job, and in order to be able to succeed in it, first of all, you need to be professional and know your job well. This is highly needed both in the military and civilian life.

Rest assured that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia, the Government of the Republic of Armenia are primarily doing their best to meet the demands of the army.
I wish you success. My request to you is to not spare effort and energy, study well what you are taught, enrich and foster your skills," the President of Armenia specifically noted in his speech.

As part of his working visit to Tavush Marz, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, accompanied by the Governor of Tavush Marz Hayk Ghalumyan and the Mayor of Noyemberyan community Arsen Aghababyan, visited the Noyemberyan Medical Center where Haykak Arshamyan, Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, and Garunik Ghushchyan, Director of the hospital, introduced the new infectious disease department being built by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

Afterwards the President visited Berkaber village accompanied by Tavush Governor and Haykak Arshamyan. In the center of the village, in the courtyard of the community hall, Haykak Arshamyan introduced the President to the maps and drawings of the newly built pumping station and other projects implemented in the village. The President had brief talks with the residents of the village and listened to their concerns.

The President also visited a farm and a cheese factory in the village of Lusadzor built with the financial support of the All-Armenian Fund of France. The President was met by the director of the farm Suren Kevorkian. After the tour, the President attached great importance to the work that is being carried out.

The President of the Republic of Armenia chaired a working meeting held in the Tavush Marz Administration which was attended by the Governor of Tavush Hayk Ghalumyan, the Community Heads of Ijevan, Dilijan, Noyemberyan, Berd, and the Heads of the Regional Divisions of the defense structures.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the socio-economic situation in the marz, the issues related to the implementation of development programs and the completed activities, as well as exchanged ideas about the planned programs and their effective implementation.
