Serzh Sargsyan conducted a working visit to Shirak marz

President Serzh Sargsyan conducted today a working visit to Shirak marz.

The President visited a number of cultural and educational establishments under construction and renovation. The majority of the works is being conducted according to a timetable which was adopted by the Presidential degree of July 30, 2008. In particular, Serzh Sargsyan familiarized with the reconstruction works of the Culture Home in Azatan village and a new Culture Home in Maisian, and observed conditions created in these cultural establishments.

The President visited also the construction site of the secondary school in Ashotsk which is being constructed in the framework of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund’s program. Construction of the school, which can accommodate 400 students, commenced in July 2011, and is to be completed in May 2013.

At the kindergarten-community center of Amasya, President Sargsyan familiarized with the conditions of the center which was constructed through the funding of Armenia’s fund of social investments, and observed the quality of the works.

At the reconstructed stadium of Gyumri, the President of Armenia attended the final match for the RA Football Cup.

In the framework of his working visit to Shirak marz, Serzh Sargsyan observed also the process of implementation of his directions given during his April 7 visit to Mush-2 neighborhood of Gyumri, and conversed with the beneficiaries who got apartments in the newly constructed community.

In Gyumri, the President was also informed on the housing construction program for the families which lost shelter after the earthquake.

The President of Armenia familiarized also with the construction works of the Gyumri Technopark. He also attended the ceremony of signing of a long-term memorandum of cooperation between the Government of Armenia and D-Link International Company aimed at the implementation of this project.
