President Serzh Sargsyan met with the delegation of the Armenian General Athletic Union
Today, in Tsakhkadzor President Serzh Sargsyan met with the delegation of the Armenian General Athletic Union (AGAU). The AGAU is conducting its supreme Delegates General Meeting which is attended by 110 representatives of over 100 branches from twenty countries.
The President conversed with the members of the delegation about the Union’s activities and upcoming plans and answered their questions. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenia stands by the Armenian organizations functioning in Diaspora and will do everything to further strengthen their relations with Motherland and to gradually bring all panarmenian events to Armenia, broadening participation to these events. According to the President, the more Armenia succeeds, the stronger Diaspora will be. The President of Armenia stressed in particular the importance of the united and Armenia-oriented activities of the Spyurk.
Serzh Sargsyan wished all the best to the Armenian General Athletic Union, underlined its role in furthering Armenia-Diaspora relations, its assistance in the preservation of the Armenian identity and educating Armenian youth living in different corners of the world true to the Armenian spirit.
