President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to Halla Tómasdóttir on her election as President of Iceland.

President Khachaturyan's message reads: "I am confident that Iceland will continue to prosper and develop during your tenure. I am full of hope that with joint efforts, the friendly ties between Armenia and Iceland will further strengthen and expand for the benefit of our peoples.
