President Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of Uruguay Luis Alberto Lacalle Pou.

The message says:

“My congratulations to you on the National holiday of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay – Independence Day.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, during the last 30 years our countries have developed warm relations and bilateral friendly ties.

The large Armenian community of Uruguay, which plays a significant role in all spheres of Uruguay's social and political life, is also an important impetus behind the development and strengthening of our interstate cooperation.

I am full of hope that with joint efforts we will manage to receive a new boost in our relations for the benefit of our peoples.
