President Serzh Sargsyan’s congratulatory message on the occasion of the RA Diplomat’s Day

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Diplomat’s Day of the Republic of Armenia (RA).

“Dear Diplomats,

I congratulate you on the occasion of the RA Diplomat’s Day.

Despite its short duration, newly independent Armenia’s diplomacy already has a rich history full of excellent manifestations of the protection of national and state interests.

The Armenian diplomats are distinguished by their patriotism, high professional training and devotion. Just thanks to these features our balanced foreign policy based on the realization of national interests finds acceptance in the international scene making it possible to find effective and realistic solutions to the Armenian problems.

I am sure that as a result of your everyday selfless activities we are able to defend the interests of our country and people and to enhance Armenia’s prestige in the international scene. On the threshold of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide I expect the Armenian diplomacy to double its efforts directed to the international recognition of that crime, as well as the prevention of such crimes in the future.

I am sure that our diplomatic service will, with the same purposefulness, continue the efforts directed to the enlargement of cooperation with different countries and the increase of our friends’ number in the world.

On this memorable day, I wish you effective activities, strength and vigor in the mission of serving your homeland in the name of the secure and prosperous future of our country,” reads the congratulatory message of the RA President.
