President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a telegram of condolences on the death of Zaven Khanjian, Executive Director of the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA), member of the Board of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

The telegram says: "I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of Zaven Khanjian, a national figure and member of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

Zaven Khanjian's contribution to the preservation of Armenian identity, the strengthening and development of Armenia-Diaspora ties, and the recognition of the Genocide is undeniable. During his activities, Zaven Khanjian was awarded the highest awards, he earned the respect and reverence of Armenians all over the world, and particularly American Armenians.

I express my condolences to the entire Armenian Evangelical community and express my support to the family of Zaven Khanjian."
