President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences on the demise of Vladimir Barkhudarian

President Serzh Sargsyan sent today a letter of condolences to the Barkhudarian family on the demise of the academician of the RA National Academy of Sciences, Distinguished Science Worker of the Republic of Armenia, celebrated historian Vladimir Barkhudarian.

The President of Armenia expressed deep condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the renowned intellectual.

“Vladimir Barkhudarian dedicated his entire scientific work to the studies of the history of the Armenian people, particularly, medieval history, history of the Armenian exile sites, Armenian-Russian relations and earnestly earned respect and sympathy of his colleagues and the entire intellectual community.

The contribution of the renowned historian as the science administrator, which he made in the Institute of History and in long years of his work at the Presidium of the RA Academy of Sciences, is also noteworthy,” reads the letter of condolences of the President of Armenia.
