President sent telegram of condolences on demise of Alisia Kirakosyan

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan sent a telegram of condolences on the occasion of the prominent poetess Alisia Kirakosyan’s demise. The telegram sent to the family of the poetess particularly reads:

“With great sorrow I learned the demise of the celebrated poetess Alisia Kirakosyan.

Although Alisia was born and lived abroad, her wonderful poems made her widely beloved and popular in her homeland. For years, her sentimental and philosophical poems have not only appeared on various stages of Armenia but also have come out of ordinary people’s mouths.

Indeed, it is a tragedy to lose such a poetess but her lyrics will always remain as an evidence of her immortality.

I express my deepest condolences and share the pain of Alisia’s relatives, friends and many thousand readers.”
